My new 101 in 1001 list.
19 Feb
Today was one of those days that I overslept so much that I feel tired and disgusting. I hate that. There is such a thing as too much sleep. However, it’s technically the last day of real vacation considering that work starts again on Monday and my regularly scheduled life is back as of now. Bummer? I guess. Cabin fever was starting to set in, though.
Today I decided that I was going to restart my 101 in 1001 list. “What is that,” you ask? Well, it’s a list of 101 preset tasks that I am going to complete in 1001 days. I decided that I am going to start it on March 1 which will make my end date November 26, 2012.
I have always loved the idea of a list like this. It gives more time (2.5 years) to complete some larger tasks that you may not be able to do in the shorter amount of time that we usually give ourselves for goal completion. I am excited to get going on my list.
I have gotten up to number 51 on my list so far. I would love some feedback and suggestions. Is there anything on there that you think shouldn’t be? What do you think that I should add?

Oh yes, I used to get way too much sleep back when I would do nothing all day, every day. It DOES make you feel terribly sluggish. Good luck with your new list!! Thanks for commenting on my site and I hope you have a wonderful weekend
So glad you started a new list! You’ve got some awesome stuff on it too!
I’m pondering on whether my Google Reader is being finicky or if your RSS reader is being a bint . . . O_O;; I haven’t gotten this post or your previous post in my Google Reader yet.
Regardless, yay for the new list! I might consider doing something like that, too, though most of mine will consist of doing gaming, reading, or writing . . .
That’s a very good list, and it’s been really inspirational for me…
If I ever make one, I would add:
- wear all items of clothing I possess at least once during a year. All those that I don’t wear will be donated.
- make something: a necklace, a drawing, a collage, anything artsy.
- take more portrait pictures
- get used to wearing SPF every day
It’s so funny that you came out with a new list because I am working on a new one as well. I realized I’d just slacked up and it was best to start over. I’m looking forward to see you finish these! Also can you add me to your links. ;)
That reminds me that I need to come up with a new list as well. It’s really nice to have a list since I usually feel that I am in control with a list on hand.
You are reminding me that I am majorly slacking on my 101 in 1001. I need to get on that!
Subscribed!!
looked at your list.
This one… “Blog every day for a month for at least 10 months.” if that were on my list I’d for sure axe it. Even when I tried my MWF schedule I couldn’t hack it, and lost my joy for blogging a bit. But to each blogger, her own. You may work great like that. I know I could not.
xoxo
Tried 5 new foods and restaurants yet??
I love the 101 in 1001. I may have to participate some time. :) You have a great list – can’t wait to hear about your progress!
Aw thank you! :) And I hope so, since I’ve had the same phone number for nearly 9 years and not had a problem. I hope they’ll reimburse.
I tried to create a 101 in 1001, years ago. I actually couldn’t think of what to put in my list, since a lot of it was restricted and I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it. I want to travel to other countries and other places, but I know that my parents most likely won’t let me. But I do have a lot of goals in mind for the future.
