101 in 1001

(Psst… don’t forget to go ask me questions for tomorrow!)

It has been a while since I mentioned it, but I have a Day Zero Project, also known as a 101 in 1001 list. For those who don’t know, it is basically a list of 101 things that I want to accomplish in 1001 days or approximately 2.5 years. My list has been hidden at my site for quite some time now since it has been on hold but I decided that I would start actively pursuing my tasks once again so I have added my list back to the navigation of my site again.

You can see my list here:

I started my list back in March of 2010 and I have just over a year to complete the rest of the list. I was able to cross off quite a few things from my list after reading over it again. I completed a few things without realizing it in my big move to New Zealand and during my weight loss as well as just randomly here and there.

This is what I looked like when I started my list. :(
365days: 003

Here is what I look like today. :)
:)

Some things of note that I have completed recently are:

3. Take the leap and move to New Zealand.
4. Get a job in New Zealand.
6. Find a place to live in New Zealand.
15. Lose 25 more pounds.
17. Work out for 3 days a week for an entire month. (In hopes this will kick start me.)
19. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for a month!
20. Do not eat any take out for an entire month.
27. Buy nail polish and paint my nails.
28. Get a pedicure.
41. Beat a video game that I start. (Mass Effect)
50. Get myself a new mp3 player for the gym when I’ve kept the 10 pounds off.
51. Allow myself to get some new clothes when I lose the 25 pounds.
60. Take a break from the internet for an entire weekend.
80. Donate all clothes I don’t need or wear anymore to charity.

Do you have a bucket list or a Day Zero project? What are some things that you have completed recently?
What are some interesting things on my list that you think you might want to try?

  • Your list is actually a lot of what I’d put on mine if I made one.

Mostly, I’d like to branch out of my comfort zone, with going real camping and sleeping under the stars. Also, I’d add an overnight hike in there, too!

A list like this seems so daunting. So many things to do. But it’s great that you’re making progress on it. And you look so much happier now. :D

  • I don’t have a 101 in 1001 per say, but I do have a goals and aspirations list for things big and small that I want to accomplish in my lifetime.

Some of the 101 in 1001 goals that you have that are inspiring and that I might add to my own list are:

    -Run a Mile
    -Start wearing jewelry again
-Learn a new craft (really want to do knitting)

:) Keep being awesome Caity! Oh, and can’t you also cross off #94? Or is it completely different than #50 about getting yourself a new MP3 player after weight loss?

  • That’s pretty cool that you’ve gotten so many things crossed off! And your weight loss is amazing! :D

I don’t have a list. Maybe I should make one? Though some things on your list would probably never be on mine, such as “Take the leap and move to New Zealand.” For obvious reasons.

Though I will say, between my green card, my spawn and Chris, I feel like I’m pretty much set. I suppose I could throw in some weight loss stuff, but honestly, I just don’t have the self-discipline for it. I love food too much. At least right now, I do. XD

  • Congratulations on getting this far Caity! I really hope that when the time is up you will have done most, if not all, of everything on your list. :D I am curious to see what you do across the following year, and I would definitely LOVE to see your photographic works.

I would like to visit some museums as well, and I definitely want to get some crafty things going.

You’re looking gorgeous and I (and I’m sure so many other people) am so proud of you!

You’ve inspired someone to create a 101 in 1001 and I think that you’ve done that for me too. I have seen so many people do it but so far you’re the one who’s actually made me want to step up and DO THIS THING. 8D <3

  • I had a 101 in 1001 list but it gave me massive stress so I just scrapped it and now I take life as it comes. I can’t handle stress, so I’ll try to get back on my feet first before making plan lists. :)

You look so amazing. You did look amazing before but now you’re… radiant. Happy! <3

  • Way to go on completing so many things! :D

I have a ’100 things’ list, only it’s not yet 100 things. I have like 5 things on it right now, lol. I definitely need to get on that. I haven’t put any of them on a time schedule though…some of the things I’d like to do in life will take much longer than 2.5 years! :) Like learning Spanish and playing the piano… I WILL do those things some day though. :)

  • I’ve always thought about doing one of these but idk if I’d be able to think of 101 things haha.

Congratulations on the things you’ve crossed off! Those are some pretty big accomplishments (and the nail polish one was cute)

  • Mass Effect, eh? Sounds pretty massive.

You look STUNNINGLY cute and pretty.

Congrats on so much off your list. You certainly have been adventuring and kicking 101 butt.

My list is mostly songwriting and music related, I AM picking things off, but slowly.

Oh, yesterday I washed about 101 dishes, (including individual forks, knives and spoons!) Does that count??? :)

  • I really should start a list like this. I think it would be great fun to complete things and cross them off the list. It would make me feel so accomplished. The only downside would actually be coming up with 101 things. Ugh, I don’t know if I’m that creative!! :)

  • I don’t think I was ever able to finish my list of 101 things to do. I really want to do this though, so I think I’ll start on a list tonight. Also, you look amazing!

  • I think you’ve read the posts about mine. I think 2.5 years is too long for everything to remain relevant. I think even a month is sometimes, lol. I’ll do what I want regardless if it’s on a list or not anyway.
