I’ve been busy this week getting ready for the start of the new school year which starts next week. A lot of my time has been spent looking at math related things and decorating my classroom however I am making sure that I still make room for other interests this year. Maybe this week’s Friday Five will give you some insight on some of my upcoming project ideas!

  • That is a very nice purse! I’m not much of a purse person (I prefer messenger bags) but I love the side pockets in that one. And I’ve been debating a tablet, after spending the last couple years wondering what the heck anyone needs one for if they have a computer lol. I really only want it to read my emails and articles, doesn’t seem like enough justification to spend that much money.

I wish you a happy start to the school year and keep my fingers crossed you will get a beautiful fall :)

    • Yes! I love that bag because it can also be worn like a messenger bag across the body.

  • I love the iPhone case and the snail mail envelopes! They look lovely – I really want to design some of my own now.

Hope you get some nice weather! We hardly ever do where I live .

    • Yes! I really want to redo my iPhone case like that! I need to send someone mail now.

Thanks! I bet the weather will turn beautiful once we start school.

  • Love that little mason jar garden. I wish I could grow herbs but somehow they always die :(
Steak fajitas, mmm… I wasn’t a great lover of mexican food (not a fan of spicy stuff) but I think now it’s growing on me. Must find a good restaurant in Montreal.
Have great day (or night) Caity!

    • Yes! I really want to do that with my herbs. Currently they outside my front door but I want to bring them inside for the bad weather.

  • My favorites are the mason jar garden — gardening made simple! — and the snail mail envelopes are pretty cool. :p My grandmother recently made pasta e fagioli (I can’t eat it, but meh).

    • Yes! I really do need to make the mason jar garden for the bad weather. Or at least put them in pots inside. Ahh.

  • Ooo I lovey the snail mail envelopes! Such a great idea. Shame I haven’t got anyone to send letters to!

    Loving the new purse!

  • random thought #5 – yep its definitely the crappiest summer I’ve seen in the 7 years I’ve been here. but don’t worry it’ll turn gorgeous the minute the schools are back! ;-)

    It’s a lovely bag

  • Snail mail has become few and far between when we started depending on the immediacy of email. It’s nice that people are still keeping the art alive, and making some creative tweaks, while at it.

Also your random thought about rainbows? I fully agree.

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.

  • On the cherry eating. :) :) :) I can so relate. I hope the new Bing cherries will be late this year to hold off on that eventuality of his…. well, you know what. :) :)

I LOVE that purse!!!!! I remember in high school at the start of every year I’d buy a brand new “jean bag” which only ever cost about $5, and I wore until they were basically just tatters remaining. :)

And I guess as I write this your Monday new school year is about to start. Have fun!!

  • Oh! I like this format
