I used to always tell myself I would never change my past. I am still a very firm believer in this for the most part. I think that whatever happened in my past truly made me who I am and I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for every event, big and small, that happened to me throughout my life. I’m talking about both good and bad things here, too.
All that being said, I think that if I were given the opportunity to do this now, I might give myself one little tip. Start losing weight NOW. I will be much happier and healthier. A head start would have been great but the fact that I am doing it now is just as awesome. Who knows, maybe I needed to do it now and maybe the events in my life needed to give me that boost that I needed, after all. I bet it needed to happen this way.

Pretty dress. I love the color. I believe that everything in our lives that happens shapes who we are, and how we react to things shapes what new things can or will happen. It’s not so much that things happen for a reason or predetermined plan, but that everything shapes us and then we in turn can shape our own destinies based on those past events. Like you, I wouldn’t change the past, even the painful parts, simply because it would change the now too much. Those painful parts are part of me, too.
