My ear finally popped yesterday and I can hear out of it again. I was so excited although the people around me at camp didn’t really understand why all of the sudden I was ecstatic. If you couldn’t hear out of your ear for over 2 weeks wouldn’t you be excited when you could? It has been really difficult trying to decipher what the 3 and 4 year olds are trying to say when I only have one working ear. Even when both of my ears work it’s a difficult task.
Friday is the last day of camp and I’m pretty melancholy about the fact that it’s going to be over. I have had so much fun this summer working at camp.
In other, exciting news… I finally submitted everything that I needed for my New Zealand visa. Once it comes back in the mail (hopefully saying that my visa is all set to go) then Josh and I are going to get ready and move over there! I’m so excited! Things are finally looking like they are going to work out for us after all this time! Cross your fingers!
As excited as I am for you, I can’t help but have some small selfish amount of sadness that you’ll be moving even further away. Gosh darn it.
I use to get really bad ear infections too so i certinly know what your talking about :) Yaaay for popping!

I used to get really bad earaches and/or swimmer’s ear back in the day, so I know what its like. When my ears did pop, it was such a relief. [=
This is all great news! I would love a summer job hanging out with 3 and 4 year olds – it’s my favorite age. And I hope the visa goes through without a hitch. It’s going to be so fun reading about your adventures in kiwiland.

Good luck with your NZ visa application! That’s so awesome – as is the fact that your ears finally popped. I used to get ear infections all the time when I was a kid. NOT FUN, to say the least.

Believe it or not I had ear problems too these last few days so I can totally relate. I was so dizzy and nauseous and I couldn’t believe it was only because of a tiny ear problem.
Yay! Both hearing and knowing you’ll soon be seriously preparing to move to NZ is quite fantastic news!
So exciting about NZ, I wish you all the luck in the planning & move! Also, glad your hearing has come back & you’re feeling better :)
