Last night, I went to an art show! My friend Emily had her painting featured in a jurored portrait show through the Huntington Arts Council! She is an amazing artist and I was so proud of her so I went to the show to support her.
This is my friend Emily and her beautiful portrait, “For My Dad.”
After the reception, I went with Emily and a group of what Emily started calling her entourage (a group of about 10 of her friends) to a local spot to get some food and drinks. It was a really fun night and we had a great time celebrating my friend’s success.
Do you have any really talented friends?
Well..I know quite a few girls who are really good photographers! ;) I have talented friends, but none that are really visually creative talents. That I can think of at the moment anyways. Your friend is an amazing artist!! That portrait is just beautiful and has so much emotion in it. It sounds like it was quite an event! Has she sold any of her paintings?
Wow your friend’s painting is AMAZING! That’s such a touching portrait, I hope her dad came along to the gallery to see it as well. Being a music student that dabbles in a lot of art, I’m constantly surrounded and humbled by the amount of talent that I associate with. It’s an eye opener!

Wow that portrait is amazing! She is certainly talented! I have many talented friends. I don’t know if any of them are artistic, but quite a few of my friends are talented instrumentally or vocally. Also, I agree with your mom, YOU are very talented. :)
The painting is beautiful, and you can feel the emotion from it. She did an incredible job on it. Very full of inspiration, love and talent. I do know some people who are quite talented as bakers and musicians. :) You are also quite talented, it’s true because you mom said so.

I know plenty of amazing cooks and musicians, no artists though. Even though my mom studied art, she doesn’t practice.

I have talented friends, but none of them really do much with their talent in trying to get recognized, which honestly sucks because most could go places.
the painting is amazing. I wish I had talent like that. I have a bunch of friends who have talent but they are deciding to do nothing with the talent. I have one who says it is not talent just practice which if you saw his work; it is MUCH more than practice.
