Kite Runner.

Thanks for your opinions yesterday regarding whether or not a meme would be good to do here. I have decided to try and do Wordless Wednesdays for a while. I am going to only post a photo on Wednesdays and no words. We’ll see how you like it. I’ll blog and try to tell a story using only photos on Wednesdays. Tomorrow we’ll see how it goes. :)

365days: 006 (by caitysparkles)

I found Kite Runner in the faculty room shared library today. I heard that it was such a good book and I couldn’t pass it up any longer so I decided to borrow it and give it a read. We’ll see how it goes. It’s not usually the type of book that I read. I’m normally a scifi and mystery or action junkie but I figured why not give it a try since everyone said it was so fantastic. Once in a while I like books like this.

I have been so absolutely exhausted these past few days. This week is really hitting me hard.

I had to read ‘Kiterunner’ while they were still making incoming freshmen read a book. It was okay, but not the best. My favorite pick off the summer reading list will always be The Life of Pi. Have you ever read it? It’s AMAZING. : )

I have not read that book but I did watch the movie. It was good but very sad. I might just have to read the book to see the similarities and differences since you know nine times out of ten the books are wayyyy better!!

I read The Kite Runner at the beginning of last year. I really, really enjoyed it even though it look me a while to get through it. I really want to watch the film too but I just haven’t got around to it yet.

I had to study that book for year 12 English! I really don’t want to ruin it, but I thought the book had too much padding, mostly in the middle of the book. It could be that I’m just impatient, and seeing as I was reading it until 3am on this one day I had to have had the whole thing read by, that would be a plausible explanation. I did generally like it, but the padding did get to me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

I LOVED The Kite Runner. It’s one of my favourite books. It was hard to get through for me the first time (because it was heartbreaking), but at the same time, I couldn’t put it down. It was very powerful. I hope you enjoy it. :)

I also saw the movie when it came out, and just wow – wonderful adaptation.

    Wordless Wednesdays sound interesting!

I’ve never read The Kite Runner either – not too sure it’s my kind of book. Who knows though.

it’s the only book I’ve read since college :P It’s really good. The movie sucked though.

It is a great great book, very well written, poetry in prose, the story is nice a bit sad but overall a very good read! I haven’t yet seen the movie… Hope you enjoy the book….

I really disliked the main character in The Kite Runner. I read it with my book club a year ago.

The Kite Runner is my second favorite book, only followed by his second book, A Thousand Splendid Suns. Absolutely love.

I’ve never heard of it but the cover’s awesome! I have heard of the one Courtney’s just mentioned though.

I sure hope you are feeling more rested. I think I’m still not recovered after the time change.

I read Blade Runner. Anything like that? :)

I’m soooooo tired too. Ready for bed and it’s not even 7:00 yet.

    xo

I really need to read that book. I read another book by the same author — A Thousand Splendid Suns — so I’m sure I would enjoy this one as well.

    Great picture, by the way!

I read “The Kite Runner” when I was in college, though I can’t remember which year exactly. It was the type of book that I could not put down until I reached the other end of the cover. Khaled Hosseini’s writing has that grabbing quality. I hope that you enjoy the book as much as many of the commentators did.

Do you plan on reading “A Thousand Splendid Suns” also? It’s the book that was released after “The Kite Runner”, and just as engrossing and beautiful.

I haven’t read The Kite Runner myself, but everyone that I know who’s read it has told me that it’s amazing.

Cute layout, by the way. :D
