Just turn the couch around!

Today, Josh and I turned the couch around to face the wall, pulled down our projector screen, and watched a movie! I love bringing the movies right into our apartment.

Projector Screen (by caitysparkles)

We decided to watch Death at a Funeral (2007). Ah, yes, those previews you see of the upcoming Death at a Funeral (2010) is a remake. This one tells the same tale except it’s a dysfunctional British family that goes through all the same funny nonsense that this new film will. Usually America remakes films that are in other languages, but they had to remake a foreign film of the same language – they must be running out of material! Haha.

Anyway… it was a really good movie and it was a nice ending to my week-long February break vacation from work. I can’t believe it’s back to work tomorrow. Will these middle schoolers be tired because they aren’t used to getting up early or will they have loads of pent up energy because they’re well rested? I guess tomorrow we’ll see.

I think they’ll be tired. I always was. Your projector screen is so awesome.

I’m gonna guess that you’re going to have a split, right down the middle, of tired and wired.

Some will be SO EXCITED to come back, and others, like myself, will have such a huge problem getting out of bed at a normal time.

    Good luck tomorrow!

    Hope it goes well :)

Oh that’s so cool! I’ve always wanted a projector.

I bet they’ll be relaxed but still wanting their break to be longer so they’ll probably be really distracted. Hope it’s not too bad.

And by the way, Caity, thank you for what you said on my blog. I just feel like it’s gotten so “public” that I forget that I should be writing for myself. :)

Oh that’s sooo cool that you have a projector! My uncle has one for his kids in their play room. It’s huge. Oye. haha I want a projector! Although I’d have no space for it.

Was the movie overall good though? I had no idea it was a remake. That’s something new. It seems that the movie industry just runs out of original scripts that they’re making any bestseller novel into a movie or remaking foreign films.

I hate when they remake foreign scary japanese films. They make it..less scary. ahaha because you’re watching the japanese movie, reading the subtitles, & then BOOM THERE’S A GHOST IN YOUR FACE & IT POPPED UP SO FAST THAT YOU DIDN’T EVEN GET TO FINISH READING THE SUBTTILES NOR DID YOU WANT TO BECAUSE THAT FACE IS SCARY! hahaha.

    Ahh! That’s such a brilliant idea! :D

First and foremost . . your screen projector is awesome. I’m going to need to invest in one of those when I move out :B

And . . . I KNEW that movie title was familiar! I got some cheap laughs out of the trailer from the 2k10 version, but I don’t have a whole lot of interest in watching it. I suppose I’ll watch it when it comes out on TBS or something :B Good luck back at school :3

Too cool that you can go from sitting in you living roon to the movie theatre without leaving the house! Guess you do need to change seats though… My husband would be truely envious if he saw this!

I had no idea they were remaking Death at a Funeral, which is weird, because it’s being directed by someone I usually pay attention to. Ha!

My husband wants a projector SO BAD. I think if we had one he’d never leave the apartment though…

I love Death at a Funeral! Hilarious!

The projector idea is awesome. I’ve never thought about getting on since I’m not big on movies.

Hopefully the first day back wasn’t too bad for you.

What a cool set-up you have there! It must have been so fun to watch a movie and feel like it was a theater. Hope you had a nice day back to work. The first day back is always rough!

Hope you had a good day back to work!

That is a great idea! I know my husband would love a movie set up like that.
