I'm Caity, a 25 year old living in New York with my husband, Josh. I'm a math teacher, amateur photographer, gamer, dreamer, blogger, singer, self-proclaimed dork, and wannabe kiwi. I sparkle!
That’s another Snapple fact. I need to stop drinking so much Snapple. It’s so tasty, though! I have to say if there is one healthy habit I’ve had my whole life is that I’ve never liked soft drinks. I’ve never liked soda. I’ve always loved water. I love water so much and I drink so much of it. I also love iced tea and what’s even better is I love unsweetened iced tea. Hooray for me! Hey, sometimes I just have to give myself points for the little things, right?
I think that almost all of my blogs for the month of November have been in the last hour of the day. It’s amazing that I haven’t failed NaBloPoMo yet. I do blog almost daily even when NaBloPoMo doesn’t linger over my head, but it’s almost as if having it lingering over my head is jinxing me. Well, I’m almost there in any case.
Today was a bit of a let down. I had high hopes and big plans for today but then I decided to be incredibly lazy and get absolutely nothing done. There is going to be a pie contest at work on Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. All the faculty and staff in the school I work in is invited to enter and I was considering making a pie to enter. Being a vegan for almost 5 months now, I have never made a vegan pie before and I was really eager to have this opportunity. Now, you don’t just make a pie and hope it turns out well, right? You make a practice pie! Today I was going to make my practice pie. Did I? Nope. I did get my laundry done, though. I guess the day wasn’t completely wasted.
Josh went fishing with my dad and my dad’s two friends this morning. I’m happy that he went. Josh never does many fun things without me and I think it was good that he went. He seemed really happy when he got back. Between the four of them only one of them caught a fish and it was my dad’s friend who is a fisherman for a living. Figures, huh? They all had a good time, though. It’s all about being out there on the boat, not really about catching the fish. I’m happy anyway. I didn’t really want to have to cook fish. Plus, my cat would have gone nuts.
I am considering starting another 365 photo project on January 1st. However, this time I will take a daily photograph and it will not be of myself. I will continue my current project 365 where I am taking a daily self portrait, as well. That will end in May on my birthday. I figure this new 365 photo project will encourage me to take different photographs. I’m in a bit of a rut at the moment with my photography and I think people need to see something other than my ugly mug every day!

Glad Josh had a good time with your family :)
Whoa?!!? That is a lot of Snapple!!
Ooh ooh ooh! You should try my Vegan Caramel-Pumpkin Pie (you don’t have to)! Not to caramelly, but definitely not good for you either.
I’m not a fan of fishing, but I’m glad Josh had fun. :D
I don’t think I have ever tried Snapple. I wish that I didn’t like soft drinks, but I do. :)
You have a really cute mug! So it’s good that your’re not giving that project up.
But I do think that focusing on a broader photography spectrum will be awesome too.
To many good pictures!
we play tug of war at our work picnic olympics :P Our team usually wins. We’re all developers, so there’s very few girls and a lot of big guys, lol.
Sometimes it’s better to be lazy than to be productive. I say, screw the practice pie and just dive right in!
Gotta love snapple! Did you know that the biggest tug of war occurs annually in Japan?
(P.S. I really look forward to your 365 days of photos!)
I love soft drinks, but gave them up a few years ago. I thought my love would fade, but it hasn’t – I miss soda so very much. Lucky you for not being interested in it!
I’m going to hope on the photo-a-day bandwagon again when the new year starts. I’m hoping it helps me get out of my photography rut, as well.
I like the self portraits, but a new challenge is usually fun! May I make a suggestion? Start looking for little props to photograph in different locations! I’ve been following this girl’s Flickr and she taken a few pics of a tiny Eiffel Tower in various ways. It’s so cool! Here’s one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krishhtine/4020239483/
what is the new photo project you will work on, does it have a name and a website =)
