I'm Caity, a 25 year old living in New York with my husband, Josh. I'm a math teacher, amateur photographer, gamer, dreamer, blogger, singer, self-proclaimed dork, and wannabe kiwi. I sparkle!
This morning, I woke up and felt awful. In fact, I felt so awful that it inspired me to take my temperature – something I never do! To my surprise, I was running a fever. Even though it was a bit last minute, I called in sick. I am sure the school would rather me call in sick than bring germs into the school. They are constantly telling their staff and their students to stay home if they are really sick. A fever means you’re sick!
I slept for almost the entire day and drank a whole lot of liquids (water, vitamin water, and orange juice). I think my body was just really, really under the weather for some reason and needed to get back on track. Josh said he remembered me complaining that I wasn’t feeling well last night. I remember now, too.
This afternoon, I went to visit my dad in his office which I never get the chance to do lately because I work during the day and then go straight to the YMCA. Since I didn’t work today and since I no longer have my job at the YMCA, I had some time to go over and say hello. My father’s office is right next door to my apartment, too, so there really isn’t any excuse. Plus it was good to get out of the apartment even if it was just next door.
My dad had Baylee at the apartment! (Baylee is my dad’s dog.) I told my dad that since I’m not working at the YMCA anymore that it might be good for me to take Baylee for walks when I get back from work. It’ll help him out since he always has her at the office and she’s always hyper and it’ll help me to get some exercise and keep my mind off the fact that I’m not going to the YMCA anymore. Sometimes I have pretty good ideas, huh? The only bad thing is that it figures I have my good idea when the weather is about to get bad. Oh well. At least it will be good for these few weeks, especially since it will help me get through these couple tough weeks.

I think when we work too much and just go go go all the time our bodies finally decide we have had enough and make us feel like crap so that we will take a day off. :)
I think walking your dads dog is a good idea. I need to do something myself to get out of the house some…I just worry with the new baby and all. (germs :(
Oh, and your last post makes me want to clean my fridge out. Maybe I should tackle that tomorrow. Right now I’m proud that I started the laundry and that the dishes are done. :P
Aw, I’m sorry to hear you were feeling so under the weather. A day of rest sounds like it was just what you needed. Hope you’re feeling better soon! :D
Hope you feel better soon :) It’s sad to hear about your job loss, but it’s nice you were able to see your Dad.
I hope that you’re feeling better today! I’m a bit under the weather also. It seems that everyone is getting sick.
Aww, I’m sorry your all in the dumps & not feeling well, Caity. I do hope you start to feel better! Maybe you and the husband should cook up some of that yummy curry you’re so obsessed about. :) I bet that would make ya’ feel better! And while you’re at it.. send a bowl over this way!
Get well soon!
Get a good night’s sleep, drink some hot tea if you like it (it always helps me) and just rest! You’ll be up and running in no time.
I hope you feel better soon, and good for you to take care of yourself :) I can’t stand the people who show up in my classes coughing all over the place, there’s been a girl who shows up to all my chem lectures and all she does is cough the entire time.
