Today was another super tiring day. I woke up early on my “day off” to go work at the YMCA. I love it there so much that I signed up to work there when I had off from my regular job as a permanent substitute to participate in a specialty day. Since all the kids had off from school, the YMCA runs a specialty day where parents can take their kids all day if they still have to work. It lasted from 7 in the morning until 6 in the evening. I worked there from 7am-9am and then again from 3:30pm until 6pm. It was a lot of fun, just like the YMCA always is. One thing I regret is that I didn’t start working at the YMCA sooner in my life. I have met so many amazing people there and I’ve always loved working with children. It’s the main reason I became a teacher besides the fact that I really enjoy seeing a student’s face light up when they understand and learn something that I’ve taught them. I get so much joy from that.
Moko has been so adorable all day. I think she was glad that I was home for a lot of the day today. She seemed confused since it wasn’t a weekend although she took the opportunity to try and get me to feed her treats all day. I must admit that it worked. I love her so much. She has taken a rather fond liking to our mohair blanket that we received as a gift. She has claimed it as her own. Wherever we put it, she finds it and lays on it. It’s adorable.
I must say that I love that Josh can cook. I had to rush from the YMCA to Church choir practice tonight and I left him a recipe for a soup that I found that looked delicious. He whipped it up and it tasted phenomenal. He made Potato Carrot Soup. I can’t wait to eat the leftovers for my lunch tomorrow. It’s already packed in my Tupperware. I feel so old talking about Tupperware. Am I getting old?
Psst… want the recipe? It’s delicious.

You’re definitely not old. Tupperware is rad! Right..? *shifty eyes* Anyway, glad you had a good day “off” today!
That is an adorable picture of your kitty.
Your cat sounds really adorable. I’m jealous that you can keep a cat. O_O;; If it weren’t for my darn allergies . . . GRRR! Anyway, I’m glad you enjoy working with children. I do, too, but I think I’ll stick with preschoolers (on their good days LOL). I like how I can be silly with them and they will never question me as the older kids do.
Awww so cute! Love cats :)
