101 in 1001

I’m currently participating in a Day Zero Project. I have set myself 101 goals that I plan to accomplish in 1001 days. That’s approximately 2.75 years. Many people like to create lists of goals for themselves and allowing for a few seasons to pass allows for some greater goals to be placed on the list and allows more time to accomplish them!

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

End Date: Monday, November 26, 2012

    Caity’s 101 Things in 1001 Days

    NEW ZEALAND

  1. Hire an immigration lawyer.
  2. Complete all the paperwork and actually be able to move to New Zealand.
  3. Take the leap and move to New Zealand.
  4. Get a job in New Zealand.
  5. Get residency status in New Zealand.
  6. Find a place to live in New Zealand.
  7. Decorate our new place in New Zealand.
  8. Make a new friend in New Zealand.
  9. Find a new Church in New Zealand.
  10. Set up a recycling system in NZ.
  11. MONEY

  12. Pay back all debt that I feel I owe to my family.
  13. Save 3 month’s salaries for an emergency fund.
  14. HEALTH

  15. Lose the first 10 annoying pounds.
  16. Lose 25 more pounds.
  17. Lose the rest of the weight (at least 15, but up to 25).
  18. Work out for 3 days a week for an entire month. (In hopes this will kick start me.)
  19. Stay vegan for an entire year and celebrate my vegiversary!
  20. Complete the two hundred situps challenge.
  21. Complete the two hundred squats challenge.
  22. Run a mile.
  23. Take my multivitamin twice daily for 30 days.
  24. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for a month!
  25. Do not eat any take out for an entire month.
  26. Stop biting my cheek as a nervous habit.
  27. LOOKS

  28. Wear a skirt again.
  29. Wear a bikini again.
  30. Put on makeup and wear it out somewhere.
  31. Wear a form fitting dress again.

  33. Go on a vacation with Josh.
  34. Give a gift to Josh just because.
  35. Make a list of 101 reasons I love Josh.

  37. CREATIVITY

  38. Write a book.
  39. Write a children’s book.
  40. Write 10 poems. (1/10)
  41. ENTERTAINMENT

  42. Read 30 books. (1/30)
  43. Watch 30 movies. (5/30)
  44. Try 10 new video games.
  45. Go see another Broadway play.

  49. Finish watching every Stargate SG-1 episode again from start to finish.
  50. Music month! Find a new musical artist to add to my list of music every day for a month.

  55. Go for a nature hike.
  56. INDULGENCES

  57. Visit 5 museums.
  58. Volunteer.
  59. Get myself a new iPod for the gym when I’ve kept the 10 pounds off.
  60. Allow myself to get some new clothes when I lose the 25 pounds.
  61. Get an Amazon Kindle DX.
  62. Buy myself a few pieces of jewelry and start wearing jewelry again.
  63. Buy 5 things off etsy that I think are cute.
  64. INTERNET/COMPUTER

  65. Try at least 5 Photoshop photo editing tutorials in an attempt to improve my skills
  66. Blog every day for a month for at least 10 months.
  67. Host a giveaway on my blog.
  68. Organize all of my computer’s folders and files.
  69. Properly tag all music files.
  70. Take a break from the internet for an entire weekend.
  71. CRAFTY

  72. Learn a new craft.
  73. Learn to crochet something new.
  74. Learn to make 5 new kinds of friendship bracelets.
  75. Complete my Wreck This Journal.
  76. HOME

  77. Try 5 new restaurants.
  78. Try 5 new foods.
  79. Cook 25 new dinners.

  83. Decorate the walls in my apartment.

  89. Participate in Macro Monday for a month.

  93. GOOD DEEDS

  94. Donate all clothes I don’t need or wear anymore to charity.
  95. Donate blood two times.
  96. Donate $10 to charity for each goal not completed at the end of 1001 days.
  97. Randomly pay for someone behind me in a drive-through line.
  98. MISCELLANEOUS

  99. Get a dog.
  100. Make a list of 101 things that make me happy.
  101. Visit 5 places on Long Island I’ve never been before. (1/5)
  102. Keep my car clean for at least a month.
  103. Create a list of 101 things that make me happy.
  104. Send a postcard through Post Crossing.
  105. Spend a whole weekend with no technology.
  106. Hang a windchime in a random parking lot, just because.
  107. Send out Christmas cards on time to everyone (twice!).
  108. Get my own mp3 player and fill it with my favorite music.
  109. Hide an inspirational message in a library book.
  110. Look into starting my Master’s Degree.
  111. Compliment a stranger who seems to be feeling sad (and really mean it).
  112. Go on a roadtrip with no predetermined destination!
  113. Try the Diva Cup for at least 2 menstrual cycles.
