101 in 1001

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Start Date: Monday, March 1, 2010
End Date: Monday, November 26, 2012

    Caity’s 101 Things in 1001 Days

  1. Complete all the paperwork and actually be able to move to New Zealand.
  2. Hire an immigration lawyer.
  3. Take the leap and move to New Zealand.
  4. Get a job in New Zealand.
  5. Get residency status in New Zealand.
  6. Find a place to live in New Zealand.
  7. Decorate our new place in New Zealand.
  8. Make a new friend in New Zealand.
  9. Find a new Church in New Zealand.
  10. Set up a recycling system in NZ.
  11. Pay back all debt that I feel I owe to my family.
  12. Save 3 month’s salaries for an emergency fund.
  13. Lose the first 10 annoying pounds.
  14. Get myself a new iPod for the gym when I’ve kept the 10 pounds off.
  15. Lose 25 more pounds.
  16. Allow myself to get some new clothes when I lose the 25 pounds.
  17. Lose the rest of the weight (at least 15, but up to 25).
  18. Wear a skirt again.
  19. Wear a bikini again.
  20. Put on makeup and wear it out somewhere.
  21. Wear a form fitting dress again.
  22. Work out for 3 days a week for an entire month. (In hopes this will kick start me.)
  23. Complete the one hundred pushups challenge.
  24. Complete the two hundred situps challenge.
  25. Complete the two hundred squats challenge.
  26. Run a mile.
  27. Take my multivitamin twice daily for 30 days.
  28. Go on a vacation with Josh.
  29. Give a gift to Josh just because.
  30. Go to a cricket match.
  31. Go to a concert.
  32. Private. ;)
  33. Write a book.
  34. Write a children’s book.
  35. Write 10 poems.
  36. Read 30 books.
  37. Watch 30 movies.
  38. Try 10 new video games.
  39. Go see another Broadway play.
  40. Go camping. Real camping.
  41. Sleep under the stars.
  42. Go for a nature hike.
  43. Visit 5 museums.
  44. Volunteer.
  45. Beat a video game that I start.
  46. Try at least 5 Photoshop photo editing tutorials in an attempt to improve my skills
  47. Go to another concert.
  48. Keep my car clean for at least a month.
  49. Learn a new craft.
  50. Finish watching every Stargate SG-1 episode again from start to finish.
  51. Make a list of 101 things that make me happy.
  52. Make a list of 101 reasons I love Josh.
  53. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for a month!
  54. Try 5 new restaurants.
  55. Try 5 new foods.
  56. Visit 5 places on Long Island I’ve never been before.
  57. Do not eat any take out for an entire month.
  58. Cook 25 new dinners.
  59. Bake 10 new desserts.
  60. Start a recipe book.
  61. Host a party.
  62. Decorate the walls in my apartment.
  63. Learn to crochet something new.
  64. Learn to make 5 new kinds of friendship bracelets.
  65. Blog every day for a month for at least 10 months.
  66. Host a giveaway on my blog.
  67. Complete a 26 Things photo project.
  68. Complete 3 other sh1ft photo projects.
  69. Complete a 50 in 50mm photo challenge.
  70. Participate in Macro Monday for a month.
  71. Complete a 365 photo challenge.
  72. Start a photoblog.
  73. Send a postcard through Post Crossing.
  74. Create a list of 101 things that make me happy.
  75. Organize all of my computer’s folders and files.
  76. Get 5 people to join EcstasyMB and remain active.
  77. Randomly pay for someone behind me in a drive-through line.
  78. Hang a windchime in a random parking lot, just because.
  79. Learn how to play chess.
  80. Music month! Find a new musical artist to add to my list of music every day for a month.
  81. Buy myself a few pieces of jewelry and start wearing jewelry again.
  82. Send out Christmas cards on time to everyone (twice!).
  83. Print and frame 10 of my photos.
  84. Complete my Wreck This Journal.
  85. Make my own cookbook.
  86. Get a dog.
  87. Get my own mp3 player and fill it with my favorite music.
  88. Hide an inspirational message in a library book.
  89. Stop biting my cheek as a nervous habit.
  90. Look into starting my Master’s Degree.
  91. Spend a whole weekend with no technology.
  92. Compliment a stranger who seems to be feeling sad (and really mean it).
  93. Go on a roadtrip with no predetermined destination!
  94. Take a break from the internet for an entire weekend.
  95. Buy 5 things off etsy that I think are cute.
  96. Try the Diva Cup for at least 2 menstrual cycles.
  97. Donate all clothes I don’t need or wear anymore to charity.
  98. Donate blood two times.
  99. Donate $10 to charity for each goal not completed at the end of 1001 days.
  100. Inspire someone else to start a 101 in 1001 list.
  101. Create a new 101 in 1001 list.
